UP man arrested for posting ‘anti-national’ social media post linked to Op Sindoor

Muzaffarnagar (UP), Mar 23 (PTI) Uttar Pradesh Police have arrested a man on Monday for allegedly posting “anti-national” content linked to Operation Sindoor on social media, police said.

Superintendent of Police (Rural) Aditya Bansal said the accused, identified as Shanu Malik, is a native of Sambhalheda village in Mirapur area.

The action comes after a video posted on Instagram was found to contain objectionable and “anti-national” material, the officer said, adding that the police have seized his mobile phone and further investigation is underway.

He has been booked under Section 152 (Act endangering sovereignty, unity and integrity of India) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Section 13 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967, Bansal said. PTI COR KIS SHS SHS
