Bijnor (UP), Mar 14 (PTI) A 36-year-old constable posted at the Prosecution Office here allegedly committed suicide by jumping into the Ganga Barrage, officials said on Saturday.
Officials said divers recovered Nitin Vats’s body near Gate Number 4 of the barrage. His motorcycle was also found at the barrage.
Circle Officer Sangram Singh said that the incident occurred on Friday when Vats jumped into the Ganga Barrage.
A post-mortem examination of the body is being conducted, the CO said, and added that the police are investigating the reasons behind the incident. PTI COR NAV APL APL
