New Delhi, Mar 23 (PTI) A man was found lying unconscious under the Azadpur flyover in northwest Delhi on Monday and was later declared dead at a hospital, police said.

A call regarding the incident was received at 4.50 pm, they said. The caller informed the police about a man lying unconscious on the footpath beneath the flyover.

Upon receiving information, a police team rushed to the spot and found the unidentified man in an unconscious condition. Blood was seen oozing from his nose, though no external injury marks were found on his body, police said.

The man was taken to Babu Jagjivan Ram Memorial (BJRM) Hospital, where doctors declared him dead upon arrival.

Efforts are underway to ascertain the identity of the man, police said.

Teams are scanning nearby areas and checking missing person records to establish his identity.

The exact cause of death is yet to be determined, and the body has been preserved for post-mortem examination, they added.
