Tirupati (Andhra Pradesh), Mar 18 (PTI) Two tusks of a sub-adult elephant were seized from a house in Tirupati district, a forest official said on Wednesday.

The tusks were recovered on Tuesday from the possession of the accused, who has been detained.

“Two tusks of a sub-adult elephant were seized from a house in Panapakam forest range of Chandragiri mandal in Tirupati district and one person has been detained in connection with the case,” the official told PTI.

Forest officials suspect possible involvement of additional persons in the case and a further probe is underway. PTI MS STH KH
