Two bikers killed in head-on collision in Bihar’s Gayaji district

Gayaji (Bihar), Mar 23 (PTI) Two youths were killed in a head-on collision between their motorcycles in Bihar’s Gayaji district on Monday, police said.

The accident occurred around 7:30 am at Kewali village within Chandauti police station area of the district.

The deceased have been identified as Akshay Kumar alias Karu (22) and Subhash Kumar (25) of Dharampur and Belma villages, respectively.

SSP Sushil Kumar said the bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination.

Soon after the accident, enraged locals blocked the road, raised slogans against the administration, and demanded compensation for the deceased’s kin, officials said.

Police reached the spot and brought the situation under control.

According to locals, both vehicles were speeding, and the riders failed to control their motorcycles after coming face-to-face, resulting in the collision in which both died on the spot. PTI COR SUK MNB
