New Delhi: Twitter India has launched a dedicated COVID-19 page listing updates on the pandemic from various authorities across India.

The description on the page, which was launched last week, says, “This page is a timeline of Tweets with information and advice from the prime minister, chief ministers, other state and central Ministers and public health authorities across India. For more, visit https://www.mohfw.gov.in/.”

The page has been lauded by Prime Minister Narendra Modi who Saturday tweeted his appreciation, calling it a “commendable effort”.

The first tweet shared by it on 19 March was by Union Minister Piyush Goyal, endorsing PM Modi’s “nine requests” for Navratri.

The page also lists a tweet from the official account of Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, on the cancellation of passenger train services till 31 March.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s tweet calling for preparedness instead of panic over the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in India is also on this Twitter list.

On Sunday, the page re-tweeted the chief minister announcing a lockdown in the city from Monday.
