Chennai, Mar 18 (PTI) Avoiding directly naming the NDA, TVK chief Vijay on Wednesday dismissed as “false campaign” claims of “alliance talks” for the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly polls.

Cadres may have been confused due to claims that TVK may go for in alliance, Vijay said, addressing an Iftar event held at Mamallapuram near here.

Giving ample hints that TVK will not align with NDA for the 2026 TN Assembly polls, he declared: “We are firm on the stand that government will be led by us (following a big win in the polls); there will be no compromise on secular, social justice principles.” TVK belongs to the people’s team, he asserted and dismissed allegations that his party functioned as “B-Team”.
