New Delhi: The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has launched a redesigned website to enhance user experience and accessibility for a wider audience. The new website, available at https://trai.gov.in/, includes new sharing features to facilitate the dissemination of regulatory information to all stakeholders, a PIB release stated.

The upgraded website comprehensively covers telecom and broadcasting regulations, policies, laws, statistics, and trends in India. The resources are designed to cater to the needs of the public, stakeholders, researchers, and international audiences.

Key features of the new website, according to the announcement, include a new dashboard for the telecom and broadcasting sector, data download for research, and a grid view feature for interactive data visualization. Users can now share documents directly on major social media platforms like Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, and Facebook.

Other features include online registration for TRAI’s latest releases and updates, a blog with commenting capabilities for registered users, and online registration for participation in Open House Discussions. The website also provides a concise compilation of regulations with amendments highlighted in footnotes, and a provision to publish information about upcoming events.

The new website is hosted on the NIC Cloud and is compatible with iOS, Android, and various other platforms.  A chatbot named ‘TARA’ (Telecom Authority Responsive Advisor) has been introduced to assist users with interactive searches.
