New Delhi, Mar 26 (PTI) Traffic movement in parts of central Delhi will be affected on Thursday evening due to ‘Shobha Yatra’ being organised in the Paharganj area on the occasion of Ram Navami, police said.

Around 300 devotees are expected to participate in the procession, which will pass through Nehru Bazar Road, Chelmsford Road, Rajguru Road, Chuna Mandi, and adjoining stretches between 5 pm and 11 pm, a traffic police advisory stated.

Congestion and slow vehicular movement are likely in and around these areas, officials said.

To avoid delays, commuters are encouraged to bypass the Paharganj market area and Chelmsford Road during the scheduled hours and seek alternative routes.

Motorists are encouraged to take alternative routes such as Minto Road, Ajmeri Gate, and Desh Bandhu Gupta (DBG) Road.

The police have urged the public to follow traffic rules, adhere to signage, and cooperate with personnel deployed on duty to ensure smooth movement and safety during the event. PTI MSJ SMV MSJ SMV MPL MPL
