New Delhi, Apr 3 (PTI) Traffic movement in parts of central Delhi will be affected on Saturday due to a rally at the Ramlila Ground, with authorities planning diversions and restrictions on key arterial roads.

According to a traffic advisory issued by the Delhi Traffic Police, congestion is likely from 8 am to 5 pm, with movement of rally participants set to peak from 10 am onwards.

Major roads expected to be affected include Jawaharlal Nehru Marg, Asaf Ali Road, Chaman Lal Marg, Ajmeri Gate and Minto Road. Restrictions and diversions may be enforced on these stretches depending on the traffic situation, the advisory stated.

Heavy vehicles will not be allowed on routes around Delhi Gate, Minto Road, Ajmeri Gate, Asaf Ali Road and the roundabout at Kamla Market. Furthermore, parking will not be allowed along Jawaharlal Nehru Marg, Asaf Ali Road and both carriageways of Chaman Lal Marg. Illegally parked vehicles will be towed away and prosecuted, the advisory read.

For parking arrangements, visitors have been advised to use the facility at Mata Sundari College, with buses dropping passengers at Delhi Gate. All buses will be stationed at Rajghat and will not be permitted to go beyond Delhi Gate. PTI MSJ SMV MSJ SMV SKY SKY
