Three killed, 2 injured in car-motorcycle collision in UP’s Hardoi

Hardoi (UP), Mar 30 (PTI) Three people died while two others were critically injured after a car rammed into a motorcycle on the service road of the Ganga Expressway here, police said on Monday.

The accident occurred on Sunday when Deepak (20), Govind (20), Lankush (40) and Ishwar Dayal (15), from Banthla village, were en route to Sawayajpur on a motorcycle.

Additional Superintendent of Police Martand Prakash Singh, the four had reached near Khitauli village when a car hit the motorcycle.

The impact of the collision was severe, leaving all four riders and one occupant of the car critically injured, the officer said.

Police rushed to the spot and shifted them to the Community Health Centre in Sawayajpur, where doctors declared Lankush, Govind and Deepak dead, Singh said.

Ishwar, who sustained serious injuries, was referred to the district medical college for advanced treatment. The injured car occupant is undergoing treatment, he added.

The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination, and further legal proceedings are underway, police said. PTI COR ABN OZ OZ
