Television actor Nitesh Pandey dies of heart attack at 51

The actor passed in a hotel in Maharashtra’s Igatpuri where he had gone for a shoot.

New Delhi: Popular television actor Nitesh Pandey died at a hotel in Maharashtra’s Igatpuri early Wednesday. He was 51.

Reports said the “Anupamaa” actor suffered a massive cardiac arrest around 2 am. He had gone there for a shoot.

Known for his role of Harish Kumar in the series “Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha pyaara Pyaara”, Pandey recently acted in popular shows “Indiawaali Ma” and “Anupamaa”.

Among his film roles, Nitesh Pandey played actor Shah Rukh Khan’s assistant in “Om Shanti Om”, the Salman Khan starrer “Dabangg 2” and “Khosla Ka Ghosla”, which was directed by Dibakar Banerjee.

Pandey’s brother-in-law and producer Siddharth Nagar told “Times of India” that he was on his way to bring back the mortal remains. Nagar said the actor’s wife Arpita was in shock.
