Hyderabad, Mar 24 (PTI) Senior Congress leader and former minister T Jeevan Reddy is likely to quit the party on March 25, as he was being sidelined.
Speaking to PTI Videos, Reddy on Tuesday said he is not happy with the party’s affairs in Jagtial Assembly Constituency during the last 20 months.
“I have taken the state of affairs to the party senior leadership. Those who have worked for the Congress Party from the beginning were left in a lurch, while people who do not even have membership are given opportunities…this is injustice,” Reddy said.
He said he worked for the party for 40 years and was sidelined.
He further said though leaving Congress is difficult, he doesn’t have any other choice.
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president B Mahesh Kumar Goud, accompanied by AICC Secretary Sachin Sawant, met Reddy at his residence in Jagtial, to persuade him to continue in the party. Sources, however, said Reddy did not yield. PTI GDK VVK VVK KH
