Kolkata, Mar 23 (PTI) The supplementary list of voters under the “under adjudication” category of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process in West Bengal, scheduled to be published on Monday evening, was not released until 10.15 pm.

West Bengal Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Manoj Kumar Agarwal told reporters earlier that the supplementary list will be released around 9.30 pm.

Over 60 lakh electors have been placed in the “under adjudication” category, and their fate is being decided by judicial officers.

The CEO said around 29 lakh names have been processed so far as part of the ongoing revision exercise.

“Out of these, the names that have been e-signed and approved by the Commission will be included in the list being published,” he said.

According to Agarwal, the supplementary list would be available on multiple official platforms, including the websites of the CEO and the Election Commission, besides the ECI Net mobile application.

The publication of the list marks a key step in the ongoing SIR process, which aims to update and verify the electoral rolls ahead of upcoming elections in the state. PTI SCH NN
