Gangtok, Apr 9 (PTI) Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang on Thursday called on Union DoNER and Communications minister Jyotiraditya Scindia in New Delhi and discussed key development projects in the Himalayan state.

The CM in a social media post said he had a meaningful discussion with Scindia on key developmental priorities, including tourism, agriculture and infrastructure, along with a comprehensive review of ongoing and upcoming projects in the state.

Tamang said he also apprised Scindia of several new initiatives aimed at accelerating holistic and sustainable development in Sikkim.

“I conveyed my profound gratitude for the continued support extended by the Ministry of DoNER, towards the progress of the state, and shared our vision for inclusive and sustainable growth, with a special focus on organic farming, youth empowerment, and the effective implementation of various developmental projects,” he said.

Tamang also said that he extended an invitation to Scindia to visit Sikkim and experience the pristine natural beauty and serenity of the Himalayan state.

He said the Union minister assured his full support, and the meeting concluded on a positive note with a shared commitment towards the overall development of the state and the region. PTI COR RG
