Gangtok, Apr 6 (PTI) The Sikkim unit of the BJP on Monday celebrated the party’s 47th foundation day with programmes organised across the state.

According to a statement, the celebrations were held at the party’s Gangtok city office, Singtam state office, and district offices in Namchi, Geyzing and Soreng.

State vice presidents, general secretaries, senior party leaders, district presidents, office-bearers and party workers attended the programmes.

The events began with the hoisting of the BJP flag, followed by meetings that discussed the party’s organisational growth and ideological principles.

The programmes concluded with party workers reiterating their commitment to further expand the BJP’s presence in the state, the statement said. PTI COR SOM
