Mumbai, Mar 23 (PTI) Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Anil Parab said his party would submit a proposal on Tuesday seeking the removal of Neelam Gorhe as Maharashtra legislative council deputy chairperson.
The proposal would be submitted to the chairman of the council, Parab told PTI on Monday.
“Shiv Sena (UBT) has decided to submit a proposal against Neelam Gorhe to remove her from her post as deputy chairperson of the council. We are not happy with the way she conducted the House proceedings,” he said.
Incidentally, Parab’s remarks came on the last day of Gorhe’s tenure as a member of the council, as she completed six years in office.
A valedictory function is scheduled to be held in the council on Tuesday, during which nine members of the upper House, including Gorhe, are set to retire. PTI ND BNM
