New Delhi: The Union Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) will host 800 special guests from across the nation to witness the Republic Day Parade on January 26th in New Delhi.

The initiative honors the contributions of individuals and groups associated with MNRE’s flagship renewable energy programs to India’s sustainable energy transition, the ministry said in a statement issued Thursday.

The invitees include beneficiaries of the PM Surya Ghar Yojana, renewable energy workers, and participants in the PM KUSUM Scheme.

The special guests will meet with Union Minister of New and Renewable Energy Pralhad Joshi, Secretary Nidhi Khare, and other senior MNRE officials during their visit, it said, adding that the ministry has also organized visits to the PM Sangrahalaya and National War Memorial for the guests.

Each guest exemplifies empowerment and sustainable development driven by MNRE’s renewable energy initiatives, the ministry said, adding that it has provided attendees with accommodations and logistical support for a comfortable and memorable experience.

By inviting these individuals to witness the Republic Day Parade, MNRE reaffirms its commitment to recognizing citizens instrumental in India’s greener, more sustainable future, it added.
