New Delhi: The Mumbai Police have evidence that a recce was done by miscreants before they dropped off a threat letter to actor Salman Khan and his father Salim Khan on 5 June.

The elder Khan found the letter on a bench where he rests after his morning jog outside their Bandra home. It was addressed to him and Salman.

Mumbai Police Joint Commissioner Vishwas Nangre Patil met Home Minister Dilip Walse Patil on Tuesday to discuss the matter. Sources within the police said the Lawrence Bishnoi gang may be involved, according to news agency ANI.

Bishnoi is presently under the scanner for the recent murder of Punjabi singer and Congress leader Sidhu Moose Wala.

The letter apparently had the initials L.B. on it and threatened the father-son duo with the same fate as Moose Wala.

The Delhi Police has already grilled Bishnoi in Tihar Jail about the letter, but the gangster has denied any hand in sending it.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra has increased the Bollywood actor’s security following an FIR in the case on Sunday.
