New Delhi: The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan) is all set to host the 18th Divya Kala Mela 2024 in Ranchi. The 11-day event, which will begin on August 29 and end on September 8, 2024, is a celebration of the extraordinary talents and entrepreneurial spirit of Divyang artisans and entrepreneurs from across India, a PIB press release stated.
The Divya Kala Mela, an initiative by the government, aims to promote the economic empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (PwDs). The event will showcase a wide range of products and services from Divyang artisans, including exquisite handicrafts, handlooms, and embroidery works, as well as food and beverages. Visitors will also get to witness the cultural diversity of the region, with a range of artifacts and displays from different parts of the country.
The 18th Divya Kala Mela is a significant step forward in the government’s efforts to achieve its goal of promoting economic empowerment of Persons with Disabilities. The event will provide a platform for Divyang artisansto showcase their skills and talents, and it will also contribute to the promotion of inclusive growth and development.
