Rajnath Singh pays tribute to Vietnam’s Nguyen Phu Trong

New Delhi: Rajnath Singh paid a visit to the Vietnam Embassy in New Delhi to pay tribute to the recently deceased General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Nguyen Phu Trong on 25 July, a PIB press release stated.

The Raksha Mantri signed a book of condolences with the Ambassador Extraordinary of Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Nguyen Thanh Hai. In a post on X, he expressed that India is siding with the bereaved family, the people, and leadership of Vietnam in this difficult time.

The Raksha Mantri recalled Mr. Nguyen Phu Trong’s contributions to strengthening the bilateral relationship between the two nations.

India and Vietnam have been long-standing friends and trusted partners.
