Jaipur, Apr 4 (PTI) A division bench of the Rajasthan High Court on Saturday upheld a single bench order cancelling the sub-inspector (SI) recruitment exam 2021 following allegations of paper leak and “impersonation”.
Justice Samir Jain had cancelled the exam on August 28, 2025, saying illegality and fraud on the system was conspicuous.
The court had come down heavily on the functioning of the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) and cancelled the recruitment exam. It had also ordered the filing of a public interest litigation (PIL) before the double bench against the conduct of the RPSC.
The division bench comprising Acting Chief Justice Sanjeev Prakash Sharma and Justice Sangeeta Sharma on Saturday upheld the single bench’s decision to cancel the exam.
It, however, dropped the PIL reference made by the single judge.
The RPSC had in 2021 advertised 859 posts for sub inspector and platoon commander. Allegations of a paper leak marred the exam, leading the government to hand over the investigation to the Special Operations Group (SOG) of Rajasthan Police.
