Jaipur, Mar 28 (PTI) Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma on Saturday said the state government is committed to strengthening rural infrastructure and road networks, with repair work on damaged rural roads commencing across the state.

As per the official statement, the Public Works Department has begun repairing roads affected by utility works such as irrigation and drinking water pipelines in several districts, including Barmer, Jalore, Deeg, Jaisalmer, Alwar, Dungarpur, Kotputli, Hanumangarh, Jodhpur, Bhilwara and Udaipur.

The repairs aim to fix road cutting carried out during utility installations and restore roads to motorable condition, providing relief to residents.

Officials said district collectors and other administrative authorities have been directed to closely monitor the work to ensure timely execution.

The move follows similar repair efforts in urban areas and is expected to improve connectivity in rural regions and help reduce road accidents, the statement said. PTI AG HIG HIG
