Rajasthan CM reviews progress of Ramjal Setu Link Project

Jaipur, Apr 1 (PTI) Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma on Wednesday reviewed the progress of the Ramjal Setu Link Project and directed officials to expedite the work in mission mode to ensure timely completion.

Chairing a meeting at the Chief Minister’s Office, Sharma said the Detailed Project Report (DPR) of the project has undergone technical appraisal by the Central Water Commission and instructed officials to secure financial support from the Centre.

The Ramjal Setu Link Project, a revised version of the Parbati-Kalisindh-Chambal river linking project, aims to ensure uninterrupted drinking water supply to people across several regions of the state.

The chief minister directed officials to maintain regular monitoring of the project at ministerial and senior levels and submit monthly progress reports.

Sharma also issued instructions regarding compensation for those affected by the project.

Officials informed the meeting that key works, including the Navnera Barrage and Isarda Dam, have been completed, while other components such as feeder channels and aqueduct construction are at various stages of progress.

Sharma also reviewed works related to Bisalpur to Morsagar in Ajmer, Isarda to Bandh Baretha in Bharatpur, Isarda to Ramgarh in Jaipur, Khura Chainpura to Jaisamand in Alwar, and Brahmani Barrage, and directed close monitoring of all components.
