Guwahati, Apr 1 (PTI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday visited a tea garden in Dibrugarh district in poll-bound Assam and interacted with women workers there.

Modi is on a day-long visit to the state to address two campaign rallies for BJP candidates.

”We are very proud of the efforts of each and every tea garden family. Their hard work and perseverance have enhanced Assam’s pride,” the PM said on X after visiting the Manohari Tea Estate.

Modi was also seen plucking tea leaves with a group of women attired in traditional white and red bordered sarees.

”The plucking of tea leaves was followed by the women talking about their culture and of course, a selfie!” he said in another post on the social media platform.

The PM shared some photographs on social media, stating that these are some glimpses from a tea garden in Dibrugarh. PTI DG BDC
