PM Modi to watch drone demonstrations by Namo Drone Didis from 10 different locations across the country
The Prime Minister will also give bank loans of Rs 8,000 crore to the Self Help Groups (SHGs) through Bank Linkage Camps set up by the banks in every district.
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the Sashakt Nari Viksit Bharat programme while also witnessing agricultural drone demonstrations conducted by Namo Drone Didis from 10 different locations across the country at the Indian Agricultural Research Institute in the national capital on Monday.
During the event, the Prime Minister will hand over drones to 1,000 Namo Drone Didis. The Namo Drone Didi and Lakhpati Didi initiatives are part of the Prime Minister’s vision of creating an economic system that empowers women.
The Prime Minister also announced the government’s intention to sanction Rs 8,000 crore as loans to the Self Help Groups (SHGs) through Bank Linkage Camps set up by the banks in every district. This loan will be available at a subsidised interest rate. An announcement was also made for a Capitalization Support Fund of Rs 2,000 crore for the SHGs. The NaMo Drone Didi Initiative aims to provide training opportunities to rural women so that they can become drone pilots for agricultural purposes.
