PM Modi pays tribute to heroes of Quit India Movement

On the anniversary of the movement Friday, the prime minister shared a video on social media.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi Friday paid tribute to the thousands of people who took part in the Quit India Movement on 9 August 1945, a PIB press release stated. He also shared a video on X(formerly Twitter) to mark the occasion.

Modi said that the Quit India Movement under Mahatma Gandhi’s leadership was a watershed moment in the country’s freedom struggle.

“Homage to all those who took part in the Quit India Movement under Bapu’s leadership. It was truly a watershed moment in our freedom struggle,” wrote PM Modi.
