Bhubaneswar, Mar 12 (PTI) The Odisha Vigilance Department on Thursday arrested a tehsildar for allegedly possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income, an official said.
Kantapara tehsildar in Cuttack district will be forwarded to the court of Special Judge, Vigilance, over possession of disproportionate assets, he said.
During a raid conducted on Wednesday, the officer was found in possession of disproportionate assets, including two multi-storeyed buildings and seven high-value plots in Bhubaneswar, the department said in a release.
A case has been registered against him under the Prevention of Corruption Act, it said.
