The National Centre for Good Governance (NCGG) in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has organised a two-week capacity building programme on public policy and governance for Cambodian civil servants, a PIB press release stated.
The programme aims at enhancing the capacity of civil servants from the Ministry of Civil Services and the Ministry of Senate to carry out the work of policy dialogue and sharing best practices. This will help them gain valuable insights into institutional transformation and citizen engagement. The inaugural session of the programme was held on June 24, 2024, with the participation of 40 civil servants from various departments of the government of Cambodia.
The programme will cover a range of topics, including public policy and management, gem: bringing transparency in government procurement, the Indian Constitutional Scheme, India-Cambodia relations, and public-private partnerships in infrastructure. The training will also provide an opportunity for the participants to visit the Smart City project and ITDA in Dehradun, District Administration in Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, the Union Public Service Commission and Indian Parliament. This will help them to learn more about the history and culture of the country.
