Bhopal, Mar 23 (PTI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Monday said the state will soon launch its ‘AI Mission’ to improve governance, enhance transparency and make services more citizen-friendly.

The chief minister made the announcement during an informal discussion with ministers before a cabinet meeting at Mantralaya, officials said.

He said the government promotes innovation by adopting new technologies to strengthen administrative systems, adding that artificial intelligence (AI) is the most promising sector in the current era.

“The proposed mission will be goal-oriented and aimed at improving governance efficiency and management. The mission seeks to make the system more effective, transparent and citizen-centric. AI will help identify potential risks in key sectors such as agriculture, health, nutrition and disaster management,” Yadav said.

The CM added the mission will be implemented in phases.

“In 2026-27, infrastructure for AI technology will be developed and existing initiatives consolidated. In 2027-28, successful use cases will be implemented across departments, and from 2028-29, AI will be developed as a permanent institutional capacity in governance,” he said.

Yadav also informed that investment proposals worth Rs 5,055 crore were received during his recent visit to Jaipur, which are likely to generate around 3,530 employment opportunities.

“Over 400 participants from sectors such as engineering, textiles, food processing, logistics, packaging, tourism, hospitality and startups attended the interaction. The response reflects growing trust among investors in the state’s industrial policies,” Yadav said. PTI LAL BNM
