Muzaffarnagar (UP), Apr 9 (PTI) A woman and her three-year-old son were killed after being run over by a speeding truck on the Delhi-Dehradun National Highway here, while her husband sustained serious injuries, police said on Thursday. The incident occurred on Wednesday night near Rampur tri-section when Rashid, his wife Gulnaz (34) and their son Shadan (3) were standing under a tree to take shelter from rain.
They said the truck rammed into them, killing Gulnaz and Shadan on the spot, while Rashid was critically injured.
The bodies have been sent for postmortem and the injured has been admitted to a hospital, police said, adding efforts are underway to trace the truck driver involved in the incident. PTI COR ABN DV DV
