Chandigarh, Jun 22 (PTI) The southwest monsoon advanced in parts of Punjab on Sunday, while conditions are favourable for its further advancement in parts of Haryana and Chandigarh over the next two days, a senior Met department official said.
According to Chandigarh Meteorological Department Director Surinder Pal, the monsoon has advanced in parts of Punjab.
“Conditions are favourable for its further advancement in parts of Haryana, including Chandigarh, over the next two days,” he said.
According to the Met department, the southwest monsoon has further advanced over most parts of Himachal Pradesh, entire Ladakh and Kashmir, most parts of Jammu and some parts of Punjab.
Punjab and Haryana received pre-monsoon showers over the last few days, providing respite to people from hot-weather conditions.
