Aizawl, Mar 19 (PTI) The Mizoram government will construct a ropeway at Vantawng Falls near Thenzawl town in Serchhip district to boost tourism infrastructure in the state, an official said on Thursday. The project that will enable tourists to enjoy a bird’s-eye view of Mizoram’s highest waterfall is set to be funded under the Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI), she said.
According to her, Rs 34.50 crore has been received for the project under the SASCI scheme.
Administrative approval and expenditure sanction have been formally granted, the official said.
