New Delhi: A minor fire broke out in a building of the International Cooperation Division of the DoP&T in North Block on Tuesday, a PIB press release stated.
No one was injured in the blaze, the Delhi Fire Services said. Officials said the fire broke out around 9.15 a.m. in a room with the number 209 in the North Block building. The cause of the fire appears to be a short circuit in the electrical equipment in that room. CISF, CPWD and Delhi Fire Services worked together to put out the flames within 20 minutes.
No physical records or files were damaged by the blaze. A few furniture items and some equipment were partially damaged.
