New Delhi: The Ministry of Women and Child Development made strides in its ongoing cleanliness and reference disposal efforts under the Special Campaign 4.0, a PIB release stated.

The Ministry of Women and Child Development, in collaboration with its autonomous bodies, has initiated Special Campaign 4.0 to enhance cleanliness and address pending matters, following the success of similar campaigns in the preceding three years.

The campaign started on 2 October and will go on till 31st October.

As of 24 October, the Ministry has successfully addressed a substantial number of targets, including 24 MP references, 7 state government references, 1077 public grievances, 80 public grievance appeals, and 1 parliamentary assurance, said the press release while noting that 1,690 physical files have been weeded out, 852 e-files closed, and 29,727 cleanliness campaigns have been conducted. These efforts have resulted in the freeing up of 3,72,918 sq. ft. of space and the generation of Rs. 1,77,330 in revenue.

Several innovative best practices have been implemented during the campaign.  These include One Stop Centre functionaries in Indore collaborating with students to create awareness on cleanliness through nukkad nataks and a sapling plantation drive organized by the One Stop Centre in South Garo Hills, Meghalaya.

Cleanliness and menstrual hygiene awareness sessions were conducted by the One Stop Centre in Buxar Training Center, Bihar. In Anantnag, a “Making the Best out of Waste” activity was organized at the Child Care Institution in Palaash, encouraging creativity and recycling.
