Ministry of Panchayati Raj to host workshop to bring together stakeholders

New Delhi: The Ministry of Panchayati Raj is set to launch Monday the National Workshop on People’s Plan Campaign 2024. The workshop will bring together government officials, elected representatives, and other stakeholders to discuss the implementation of the Panchayat Development Plan, a PIB press release stated.

The workshop will be dedicated to providing an overview of the objectives of the People’s Plan Campaign 2024 to assist in the preparation of participatory Panchayat Development Plans for the next financial year. The campaign is expected to involve the participation of voluntary organizations such as Gram Sabha, Self-Help Groups (SHGs), Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), and other related stakeholders.

The Ministry of Panchayati Raj is taking up the task of preparing a comprehensive plan for the development of Panchayats in the country. The People’s Plan Campaign 2024 is a step in the right direction, and the government is committed to ensuring the participation of all stakeholders in the preparation of development plans.

The workshop will provide an opportunity for the Ministry of Panchayati Raj to discuss the strategies, approaches, and roadmap for the preparation and uploading of Panchayat Development Plans. The workshop will be utilized for orientation of such changes and to sought suggestions for further improvements following the spirit of cooperative federalism, the release read.
