Minister urges Jharkhand youth to shape ‘Viksit Bharat’

New Delhi: Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology, Dr. Jitendra Singh, addressed the youth of Jharkhand at Ranchi University’s Aryabhatta Auditorium on Saturday, urging them to recognize their role in shaping a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India) by 2047.

Speaking at the Developed India Ambassador, Youth Connect program, Dr. Singh emphasized the opportunities available to young people in today’s India, thanks to the strong leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a PIB release stated.

Dr. Singh stated that India is poised to become the world’s largest economy by 2047, citing examples like the abolition of outdated regulations and the growth of startups in the space sector. He also highlighted the growing global respect for Indian youth, attributing this positive change to Prime Minister Modi’s visionary programs and hard work.

The Minister encouraged the youth to take advantage of the government’s efforts and prepare themselves for a developed India. He contrasted the current global standing of India, recognized as one of the world’s five strongest economies, with its position in 2014, when it was considered one of the five most fragile.

Dr. Singh highlighted the government’s commitment to providing necessary facilities for the youth’s development. He cited the Prime Minister’s role in abolishing over 2,000 outdated regulations and the positive impact of technological advancements, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic.
