MDoNER trains female employees in self-defense

New Delhi: A comprehensive training session on self-defense techniques was organized by the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (MDoNER) for all female employees of the department, a PIB press release stated.

The session was conducted by Joint Secretary, MDoNER, Anuradha S. Chafti, Chairperson of the Internal Complaints Committee, with the active participation of Monalisa Dash, JS, Suchita Gupta, SA. The external member of the committee, Vaishali Dhoot, CEO of Streebal Foundation, also joined the other members of the committee in the session.

The training session focused on basic techniques, situational awareness, punches, blocks, and other self-defense techniques. While the importance of prioritizing self-care was emphasized by Dhoot, she also encouraged women employees to spend at least ten minutes daily in exercise and self-defense training.

Dhoot also highlighted how these skills can not only safeguard personal safety but also empower women to support and protect others.
