New Delhi, Apr 2 (PTI) The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) on Thursday appointed a new deputy commissioner (DC) of Shahdara North zone, after the previous officer was arrested in a Rs 4 Lakh bribery case.
According to an official order dated April 2, Mamta Yadav, an IAS officer serving as Assessor and Collector in the MCD, has been given additional charge of Shahdara North Zone DC with immediate effect.
Lt Col Abhishek Kumra Mishra, who was on deputation in the civic body, and Devanshu Gautam, an administrative officer, both posted at Shahdara North Zone, were arrested on bribery charges by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday.
In a related move, Mohit Bansal, currently director (IT) and a deputy commissioner handling Election, Ayush and Unani, was assigned the additional charge of Karol Bagh Zone deputy commissioner. PTI VBH VN VN
