Man, on his way to meet infant son, killed in hit-and-run accident in Vile Parle

Mumbai, Mar 25 (PTI) A 24-year-old man was killed in Vile Parle (East) area in the early hours of Wednesday after his motorcycle was hit by an unidentified vehicle, police said.

Neelkanth Vijay Ingle, the victim, was on his way to his in-laws’ place in Matunga to meet his wife and infant son when the accident took place near Centaur Hotel, said an official from Vile Parle police station.

The unidentified vehicle rammed his motorcycle from behind.

Ingle was rushed to hospital but doctors declared him dead on arrival.

His wife had delivered a baby boy three months ago, and was staying at her maternal home during convalescence.

A First Information Report was registered against an unidentified person under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita sections including 106(1) (causing death by negligence). Further probe is underway. PTI ZA KRK
