Gurugram, Mar 16 (PTI) A 26-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by jumping from the third floor of the Ambience Mall here, police said on Monday.

No suicide note was recovered from the spot, officials said.

The incident took place on Sunday, around 3 pm, when Dishant, a native of Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh, had gone to the mall.

Dishant, at first, stood near a food outlet where he had just eaten, following which he crossed the railing and jumped, police said.

The mall security and staff personnel rushed to the spot and took him to a nearby private hospital, where he died during treatment, they added.

Upon receiving information, a team from the DLF Phase 3 police station reached the mall and inspected the spot.

The police team informed the family, who told them that Dishant left home on Saturday afternoon after telling his family that he was going to get pizza.

“When he did not return, his family tried calling him several times, but his phone remained switched off. No suicide note found at spot, and a probe is underway,” a senior police officer said. PTI COR OZ OZ
