Jaipur, Apr 7 (PTI) Western disturbance brought light to moderate rainfall at several places in Rajasthan during the past 24 hours, with Phalodi in Jodhpur district recording the highest rainfall of 42.2 mm.
Temperatures across the state also remained below normal.
The highest maximum temperature on Monday was 36.4 degrees Celsius in Chittorgarh while the lowest minimum temperature was 16.7 degrees Celsius in Nagaur, according to the Meteorological department here.
The Met department said moderate to heavy rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning is expected in parts of Jodhpur, Bikaner, Ajmer, Jaipur, Bharatpur, Udaipur and Kota divisions today.
Crops were damaged in several districts including Jaipur, Phalodi and Bikaner. Wheat crop was also damaged in many villages.
Light to moderate rain occurred in Ajmer and Jaipur, bringing down the temperature.
The department said Bharatpur and Jaipur divisions are likely to see light rain while the rest of the state is expected to witness mainly dry weather on April 8.
From April 9, most parts of the state will experience mainly dry weather for the next 4-5 days.
A rise of 3-4 degrees Celsius in temperature is likely from April 10 onwards, the department said. PTI SDA ASD ASD
