Kolkata, Mar 23 (PTI) The Left Front on Monday released its third list of candidates for the West Bengal assembly elections, announcing the names of 15 aspirants.
The Front had earlier announced candidates for 224 constituencies in the 294-seat assembly.
With the latest release, the CPI(M)-led Left Front has come out with candidates for 239 constituencies for the two-phase assembly elections in the state on April 23 and 29. Counting will take place on May 4.
The Indian Secular Front, led by Nawsad Siddique, has announced it will contest 33 seats, with consensus reached with the Left Front in 29 constituencies.
However, the ISF will also field candidates in Nandigram, Panskura Paschim, Bhagabangola and Murarai, Siddique said.
The Front, which entered into a seat-sharing arrangement with the then newly-formed ISF in the 2021 assembly elections, has also put up candidates in these four constituencies.
