Shimla, Mar 28 (PTI) A 34-year-old man was arrested on Saturday for allegedly duping a Nepalese national of Rs 5,000 by posing as a police personnel in Bhuntar in district Kullu, police said on Saturday.
The accused has been identified as Mohit Sharma, a resident of Dhalpur, Kullu.
According to the police, the victim, Dile Ram, on Friday filed a complaint alleging that on March 26, a person took Rs 5,000 from him by deceiving him.
The police registered a case under sections 319(2) (cheating by impersonation) and 307 (theft) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) 2023 and initiated the investigation.
The accused was arrested by the police from his residence.
