Jamshedpur, Mar 15 (PTI) The Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) discused key issues related to the development of the mineral-rich Kolhan region of Jharkhand with Chief Minister Hemant Soren, officials said.
A delegation led by SCCI president Manav Kedia met Soren at the state assembly on Saturday, they said.
Accompanied by Jamshedpur West legislator Saryu Roy, the delegation also witnessed proceedings of the ongoing budget session of the assembly.
During the course of discussion with Soren, the team also raised the issue of the stalled airport at Dhalbhumgarh in East Singhbhum, an SCCI release said.
The delegation urged the CM to take measures to resume construction of the airport, which would give an impetus to business and tourism in the Kolhan region, it said.
Soren assured the SCCI team that concrete action will be taken soon, Kedia said. PTI BS RBT
