Hazaribag, Mar 18 (PTI) Jharkhand DGP Tadasha Mishra on Wednesday reviewed arrangements to ensure peaceful Ram Navami celebrations in Hazaribag, and urged all communities to maintain solidarity during the festivities.
Mishra met senior officers, including Hazaribag SP Anjani Anjan and Deputy Commissioner Shashi Prakash Singh, and took stock of the preparations ahead of Ram Navami.
“I hope Ram Navami celebrations will be totally peaceful in Hazaribag. I would request all communities to maintain solidarity and help each other when the processions are taken out,” Mishra told reporters here.
“People should also cooperate with the administration during the festival… There is a history of conflicts occurring during Ram Navami festivities in Hazaribag, and that should not happen,” she asserted.
The DGP also said more police personnel will be deployed than requisitioned by the district authorities during Ram Navami, which is likely to be celebrated on March 26. PTI CORR ANB RBT
