Jammu, Apr 12 (PTI) Jammu and Kashmir unit of BJP on Sunday held its state office bearers’ meeting here, with senior leadership calling for stronger grassroots structures, ideological commitment, and enhanced public outreach.
The meeting was addressed by Union Minister Jitendra Singh, national general secretary in charge J-K Tarun Chugh, J-K BJP president Sat Sharma, MP Jugal Kishore Sharma and former Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh, among others, according to a party release.
Addressing the gathering, the Union minister congratulated the J-K BJP cadre for setting new benchmarks in organisational and political activities, stating that the party’s functioning in the Union Territory is being closely observed nationwide.
He urged leaders to remain prepared for emerging political and organisational challenges, adopt a fact-based approach, and consistently highlight the developmental achievements of the Modi government.
Chugh stressed ideological commitment and strengthening of the organisation at the booth level.
“The core objective was to ensure seamless coordination and timely completion of organisational structures down to the grassroots,” Chugh said.
He directed leaders to institutionalise monthly meetings at all levels to sustain organisational momentum.
J-K BJP president highlighted accountability and effective implementation of party policies, calling for the immediate completion of Morchas and Cells across all levels.
He underlined the impact of policies under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, particularly noting a shift towards women-led development.
Meanwhile, the BJP’s women’s wing organised a women-led bike rally in strong support of the ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam’ and the provision of 33 per cent reservation for women.
The rally commenced from Mubarak Mandi and culminated at Press Club, Jammu, with participants raising slogans of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Nari Shakti Zindabad”. PTI TAS TAS HIG HIG
