INS Sunayna docked in Seychelles for official talks

Ship's visit aims to bolster cooperation, conduct joint surveillance.

New Delhi: An Indian Navy vessel, INS Sunayna, has docked in Port Victoria, Seychelles, for official talks aimed at strengthening mutual cooperation between the two countries, a PIB press release stated.

According to the country’s embassy, the INS Sunayna, an offshore patrol vessel, entered Port Victoria on June 15 after completing a short refit at Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd (GRSE) in India. Officials from the Seychelles Coast Guard and the Indian Navy will engage in official and social interactions during the ship’s visit.
There will also be joint EEZ surveillance with the Seychelles Coast Guard. The visit is aimed at strengthening the camaraderie and mutual cooperation between the Indian Navy and Seychelles Coast Guard in line with the vision of SAGAR (Security & Growth for All in the Region). The ship will depart Port Victoria on June 18.
