India’s CPGRAMS system recognized as best practice in governance by Commonwealth Secretariat

New Delhi: The Commonwealth Secretariat has recognized India’s Centralised Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS) as a best practice in governance that can be replicated by other countries in the Commonwealth during the recent meeting of Commonwealth Heads of Public Service, Secretaries to Cabinet, and other high-level officials that took place from 22 to 24 April 2024 in Marlborough House, London, a PIB press release stated.

The Centralised Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS) of India is one of the best practices in governance that can be replicated by other countries in the Commonwealth. The system has been instrumental in improving the quality of governance by providing a speedy and effective remedy to the grievances of citizens.

The meeting was attended by the Commonwealth Secretary-General, the Commonwealth Heads of Public Service, and other high-level officials from 22-24 April 2024 in Marlborough House, London. The participants shared their experiences and ideas on the use of technology for improving public service delivery and enhancing the efficiency of e-services.

The meeting also explored the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in improving governance and strengthening institutions. The Commonwealth Secretariat emphasised that the Centralised Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS) of India is one of the best practices in governance that can be replicated by other countries in the Commonwealth. The Secretariat also highlighted the need for continued efforts to promote digital transformation and enhance the efficiency of public services through the use of technology.
