India’s BSE gets regulator nod to name Ramamurthy as CEO

BENGALURU (Reuters) -Indian stock exchange operator BSE Ltd said on Monday the domestic market regulator has approved naming Sundararaman Ramamurthy as its chief executive officer.

Ashishkumar Chauhan stepped down as the chief executive of BSE in July and is at present the CEO of rival exchange operator NSE.

Ramamurthy is presently the chief operating officer of the India arm of Bank of America Corp, and has previously worked as a senior vice president at NSE, according to his LinkedIn profile.
